Gina & Matt are runners in Philadelphia, so it’s only fitting that their love story began on race day at the Benjamin Franklin Bridge!! These two make each other so happy and are so kind to each other and they’re just overall amazing humans to spend your time with 🫶🏼

Engagement Photos in Old City

We did a very ~Philly~ engagement session, since they both live here and love the city!! Old City was the first stop (bc duh) – we hit up Merchants Exchange, Second National Bank and 18th Century Garden. Gina wore a super cute blue floral dress and Matt wore a blue button down to match!! Very fancy first outfit for a very fancy setting!!

Incorporating the Benjamin Franklin Bridge

Gina & Matt changed into a more casual outfit for the second half of the session, with Gina rocking cute grey Blundtstones (the most goated shoe of all time)!! We somehow snuck in Elfreth’s Alley, Race Street Pier AND the Benjamin Franklin Bridge before nightfall which I think might be a record lol!! Definitely helps that all three of us are runners and logging miles around the city is the norm 🤣

I’m so glad we were able to incorporate the bridge into their engagement photos since it’s the spot where they met. And it’s an iconic part of the city they live in as well!!

Working With the Rain, Not Against It

We had been monitoring the weather all week and all day leading up to the session, and it had been all over the place lol. First sunny with very little chance of rain, then what seemed like positive storms all day … then when it was time to start the session, all we got was the tiniest on/off drizzle before clearing up to be a rain-free rest of the evening!!! 🙌🏼 (Major shoutout to Gina’s hairspray for doing the Lord’s work and keeping her curls looking amazing throughout the rain & humidity!)

But seriously, the ease with which these two smile and laugh when they are around each other is so sweet to witness. I simply cannot WAIT for them to get married in the spring!!! Fingers crossed for sunny weather, but I know these two will radiate sunshine and joy no matter what 🌞
