5 Questions to Ask Your Photographer (Before Booking!!)
Chances are, this is your first time booking a photographer. And I’m gonna take a WILD guess and say this is your first time booking a professional photographer … EVER. So you’re feeling just a biiiit stressed about making such a big decision. Kinda like everything else in wedding planning I digress. Back on track — NO FEAR, your friendly neighborhood wedding photographer is here!!!
Here are 5 questions you must ask your wedding photographer before making the decision to book!!
-
ASK TO SEE A FULL GALLERY
-
It’s really important to see pictures from different lighting situations throughout the day (specifically low light situations).
-
-
ASK ABOUT SECOND PHOTOGRAPHERS
-
If you’re planning on having 100 guests or more at your wedding, a second photographer is definitely worth considering. Sometimes they’re included in your package, sometimes they’re a la carte. Ask your photographer what they recommend for your wedding!

-
ASK WHAT THEIR BACKUP PLAN IS
-
This one stinks, but it’s important to know what their backup plan is if they can’t photograph your wedding last minute (this is also where a second photographer comes in handy!!).
-
-
ASK ABOUT ALBUMS
-
Are they included in your package? Is there a discount in your package? Does your photographer create custom albums? Do you have the option to create your own album? All very important questions, my friend!!
-
-
ASK FOR VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS
-
Wedding photographers work with a ton of different vendors and can recommend vendors they’ve worked with before that would be great for your specific wedding!!
-
I hope this helped!! Wedding planning can be a doozy but just take everything one at a time and put in your due diligence and it will all be okay 🙂 For more information, check out my blog posts about 4 MORE questions to ask your wedding photographer and why you should book your dream photographer.
