A Joyful Late Summer Celebration in New Jersey

A Perfect Wedding Day After Rainy Engagement Plans

Alexa and David didn’t have the easiest time planning their engagement session – bad weather forced them to reschedule more than once. But their Perona Farms wedding day was filled with sunshine, clear skies, and perfect temperatures. It was worth the wait!!!

Getting Ready with a Waterfront View

The day began at a peaceful Airbnb overlooking the water, where Alexa got ready with her bridesmaids. The getting-ready space was calm and bright – perfect for the start of a big day.

Her bridal party wore dresses in cheerful yellow and soft pink tones, a perfect color palette to celebrate the end of summer. The florals tied everything together and gave the whole morning a joyful energy.

A Sweet First Look with Family

Before leaving for the ceremony, Alexa shared a first look with her dad and brother. She surprised her dad with a custom vinyl record filled with meaningful songs and inside jokes – such a thoughtful and creative gift that made for a really emotional moment.

A Church Ceremony Full of Tradition

Alexa and David were married in a Catholic church where David grew up, surrounded by family and close friends. They exchanged traditional vows, saving their more personal words for a private moment later in the day.

Private Vows & Portraits at Perona Farms

After the ceremony, we made our way to Perona Farms, one of New Jersey’s most loved wedding venues. Before joining guests for cocktail hour, Alexa and David stepped aside to read letters to each other. This quiet moment was one of the most meaningful parts of their day.

We explored the grounds for their married portraits – Perona Farms has so many beautiful photo locations, and the golden-hour sun did not disappoint. We wrapped up in time for the couple to enjoy mingling with guests at the end of cocktail hour, something that was super important to them.

A Reception Full of Heartfelt Moments

The reception kicked off with a choreographed first dance that wowed the crowd – these two nailed it. Sweet parent dances followed, along with heartfelt speeches from loved ones.

One highlight? Alexa surprised her grandmother with a bracelet during the reception – an emotional moment that had everyone smiling. David ended the formalities with a speech of his own, bringing warmth and laughter to the room.

And yes – Alexa rocked a stunning reception dress to finish out the night in style.
