Energetic Bishop Farmstead Fall Wedding in New Jersey
Introducing the Capones!!! Mackenzie and Leo got married this weekend, and their Bishop Farmstead wedding was the perfect way to celebrate a late October day in New Jersey. As a New Jersey wedding photographer, I love when a couple fully leans into the season while still making the day feel like them, and this wedding did exactly that!
The Details
The florals deserve their own moment!!! Jersey Shore Florist absolutely nailed the look. Think pink and peach spring florals, but styled for fall. The color palette came together so well with the green suits, rust red dresses, and all the natural tones around Bishop Farmstead. And Mackenzie’s dress. WOW!! Truly a moment!!!
Efficient Photo Timeline for Maximum Fun
Mackenzie and Leo decided to wait until the aisle to see each other, so we planned the timeline to keep things efficient while giving them as much time as possible with their people. We knocked out family and wedding party photos before the ceremony. Mackenzie also shared first looks with her dad, brothers, and bridesmaids, which brought out all the emotions. Definitely a grab the tissues kind of moment!
Their ceremony was officiated by their neighbor and friend, which made it feel even more personal. Their only instruction to him was to get them married as quickly as possible, and he delivered. With big smiles and teary eyes, Mackenzie and Leo tied the knot and walked back down the aisle full of joy. They even paused to wait for their wedding party so everyone could celebrate together, which was such a fun touch!
For wedding party photos, Mackenzie told me she wanted them to be FUN. Mission accomplished!!! After the must-have smiling photo, there was cheering, speed walking for those who know, and even some chest bumping. We wrapped up married couple portraits in just 15 minutes, which gave Mackenzie and Leo time to privately practice their choreographed first dance before the reception.
And wow, did they crush it!!! Twists, turns, spins, and a kiss to end it all. The toasts brought on even more happy tears, and once the dancing started, the party absolutely went off. At one point it felt like everyone had a turn crowd surfing!
