A Joyful Parque Ridley Creek Wedding | Rylie & Ryan
Some wedding days are full of happy tears. Others have you laughing so hard your cheeks hurt. Rylie and Ryan’s wedding at Parque at Ridley Creek in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, had plenty of both!
From matching pink pj’s and an emotional first look to a dance floor that stayed packed all night, these two knew exactly how they wanted to celebrate. Their wedding was full of personality, thoughtful details and so much love from their favorite people.
What is it like to get married at Parque Ridley Creek in Pennsylvania?
Parque Ridley Creek is a beautiful Pennsylvania wedding venue in Newtown Square, just outside Philadelphia. Its historic stone architecture, elegant outdoor spaces and scenic grounds make it a wonderful setting for couples who want a romantic wedding without sacrificing a fun, relaxed celebration.
Rylie and Ryan soaked up all this gorgeous venue had to offer, starting with a getting-ready morning full of energy!
Rylie and her bridesmaids arrived in matching pink pj’s, blasting their favorite hype music while getting down to wedding business. Ryan and his groomsmen showed up wearing black graphic T-shirts with hilarious sayings. (Rumor has it someone was even drinking beer out of a trophy! My lips are sealed!) If there was ever a wedding party ready to celebrate, this was it.
An Emotional First Look and Wedding Photos at Parque
Before the ceremony, Rylie and Ryan shared the sweetest first look on the Parque grounds. The smiles on their faces when Ryan turned around said absolutely everything. He even wiped away a little tear, which made the moment that much sweeter!
Afterward, they spent time together taking wedding portraits around the property. Rylie’s dress was absolutely EVERYTHING, and the gorgeous grounds made the perfect backdrop for romantic photos that still felt fun. Exactly the combo I would use to describe their relationship! Doing their wedding party and family portraits before the ceremony gave them more freedom to enjoy the celebration with their guests afterward.
Can You Have an Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Parque Ridley Creek?
Parque Ridley Creek offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony setting featuring historic stonework and a fountain. The architecture provides a romantic backdrop, while colorful florals can add a personal touch to the space.
For Rylie and Ryan, bright pink and yellow flowers popped against the grey stone steps and fountain. The whole ceremony setting felt cheerful, romantic and completely them.
As Rylie walked down the aisle, she kept her eyes locked on Ryan. And once they officially became husband and wife, they celebrated with a perfectly executed dip kiss! The best part? They had practiced that exact move earlier during portraits. A little direction beforehand meant they could enjoy the moment without worrying about getting it right!
A Philly-Inspired Cocktail Hour and an Unforgettable Dance Floor
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour with a little Philadelphia flavor. Cheesesteak sliders, soft pretzel bites and French fries? YES PLEASE! The reception was just as personal. Heartfelt and hilarious toasts kicked off the evening before everyone got down to exactly what the invitation promised: dinner and DANCING!
And these guests understood the assignment.
The dance floor filled up almost immediately and stayed that way until the end of the night. The celebration included a huge group hug during Take Me Home, Country Roads, complete with a WVU flag!
Before their grand exit, Rylie and Ryan shared a private last dance with a special nod to the Phillies. Then they headed out surrounded by cheers and bubbles, ending their wedding day on the happiest note.
