Okay okay so mayyyyybe you saw my last blog post about southeastern PA date ideas and you were like “dang, those are some really good date ideas … but I don’t live in southeastern PA.” Don’t worry girl. I gotchu. Here are some more end of summer date ideas for pretty much anywhere — feel free to tweak to your area!!!

Watering Hole Hike
You can go on hikes in the winter, but you sure as HECK can’t get in the water!! Well, you can. If you’re superhuman and don’t feel the cold. But I’d raaaather not hike back in soaking wet clothes when there’s a good chance those clothes will freeze in seconds -
Camping 🙂
I mean technically you can camp in the winter buuuuuut it is MUCH more comfortable to not have to worry about freezing to death in your sleep if you don’t have the proper gear!! I love camping, but I’m a naturally cold person and I really just don’t know if having a thin piece of fabric separating me from freezing temps would be enough to sleep comfortably! -
Winery
Yes, please! This is such a summertime date — picture rolling green hills, sunglasses on your head, golden sun shining down as you cheers a delicious glass of white wine with your love … I mean come ON. What’s not to love about that? I can’t quite picture this date with heavy winter coats and no leaves on the trees. Gotta make use of all this green while it lasts!! -
Sunset Picnic
DUHHHH!! It gets way too cold to enjoy the sunset outside in the wintertime. Plus, sunset happens like mid-afternoon in the winter so a romantic dinner picnic is pretty much off the table. Soak it up while it lasts, folks! -
City Tour!!
You can also do this date any time of the year … buuuuut there are SO many more options available in the summertime! I’ve done city tours in the winter, and let me tell ya — not having to worry about winter coats and hats and gloves and scarves and frozen toes while walking around outside all day is a *beautiful* thing. Plus, you don’t have to worry about getting caught in a snow squall (yes, that’s also happened to me on a winter city tour!)!
I hope these gave you some last-minute date ideas to soak up the warm weather while it lasts!! It can be tempting to wish away the suffocating heat and humidity in favor of warm sweaters and hot cocoa, but don’t forget to take advantage of all the fun dates that are possible or even just better in the summer months.
