Blair and Nick scheduled some City Hall couples photos during their brief visit to Philadelphia in the summer of 2022! They got married in California, where they live, during covid. This trip to Philly was the perfect time to celebrate their marriage with Blair’s east coast family!! Why not schedule some couples photos as well?

City Hall Photos

I met up with Blair and Nick at their Center City hotel. The plan was to take a few couples photos in front of City Hall before heading to South Philly for their wedding celebration at Dock Street South. We only had about 15 minutes for photos, so I knew we had to act fast!

Luckily, Blair and Nick are so in love and photographing them was so easy! Blair wore a stunning ivory dress to commemorate the fact that she recently got married. I guided them through a few photos on the Broad Street median to capture them in front of the majestic City Hall. It was the perfect time of day for these photos – both they and the building were in the light!

Hotel Lobby Photos

What you may not be able to tell is just how hot it was taking these photos. This was the peak of summer and boy, could we feel it! When we took a heat break inside their hotel, we asked the security guard if we could take a few photos in the lobby. He said yes! So I quickly guided them through some more fun photos, making sure not to get any guests in the background. Blair and Nick were so happy with those photos!!

Dock Street South

After we finished our brief round of city hall couples photos, I met Nick and Blair at Dock Street South to photograph their wedding celebration. It was so sweet so see all the massive hugs and big smiles as they were reunited with loved ones!

I’d been to Dock Street South before with friends (it’s a cute brewery with fantastic pizza), but this was my first time at an event there. They sectioned off the whole back room which gave the group an air of privacy. They catered the party as well, which looked delicious!! If you need a cool, rustic-looking spot to host a gathering in Philly, Dock Street South is a great option … especially if you like pizza!

City Hall Couples Photos
