Longwood Gardens Early Spring Engagement Photo Session
Kaitlyn and Thomas are on their way to becoming Mr. & Mrs., and I truly cannot wait!!! We celebrated their engagement with the most beautiful spring session at Longwood Gardens, and it could not have been more perfect.
If you’re dreaming of Longwood Gardens spring engagement photos, this session is full of inspiration – from cherry blossoms to golden light and the sweetest, most joyful moments!
A Perfect Spring Day at Longwood Gardens
We were absolutely spoiled with the weather for Kaitlyn and Thomas’ engagement session. Think warm sunshine, soft spring air, and flowers blooming everywhere you looked!
April at Longwood Gardens is such a special time. The gardens change almost daily, with each visit feeling fuller, brighter, and closer to summer. When we arrived, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, creating the dreamiest backdrop for their photos!
Exploring the Gardens Together
One of my favorite parts of this session was that it felt like an experience, not just a photoshoot.
This was Kaitlyn and Thomas’ first time exploring Longwood Gardens as adults, so as we walked through the grounds, I got to play both photographer and unofficial tour guide – which I LOVED!! (If you know me, you know I love playing tour guide hehe)
We explored some of the most beautiful areas of the gardens, soaking in all the color, light, and spring energy along the way.
Natural, Joyful Engagement Photos
Kaitlyn and Thomas are the kind of couple that make this job so fun. They were laughing, chatting, and completely at ease with each other the entire time!
There’s always something so special about watching two people in love just be themselves. It never gets old. And these two? Total naturals.
Their connection is effortless, joyful, and full of life—and it shines through in every single photo.
The Sweetest Ring Story
Okay … this moment was so cute I had to include it!
Before the session, I took a peek at Kaitlyn’s Pinterest board to get a feel for her vision. When I photographed her ring during the session, I realized it looked identical to the one she had pinned!
Naturally, I asked if she had designed it. She said no – Thomas just absolutely nailed it! Safe to say, he understood the assignment perfectly!!
Why Longwood Gardens Is Perfect for Engagement Photos
There’s a reason so many couples choose Longwood Gardens for their engagement session:
- Ever-changing seasonal blooms
- Stunning garden backdrops
- Romantic walkways and architecture
- Endless variety in one location
And in the springtime? It truly feels like something out of a dream.
Counting Down to Their Wedding Day
As much as I loved this engagement session, I think I’m even more excited for what’s next.
I get to photograph Kaitlyn and Thomas again on their wedding day next year!!! YAY!!
If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding is going to be filled with so much joy and genuine love. I already know it’s going to be an incredible day!
Final Thoughts
Sessions like this are such a reminder of why engagement photos matter. They’re not just about pretty backdrops – they’re about capturing this season of life, the excitement, and the love that’s leading up to your wedding day.
Kaitlyn and Thomas, I am SO excited for you both and so honored to be part of your story. Let the wedding countdown begin!!!
