Golden Hour Engagement Photos at Valley Forge Park near Philadelphia

Gina and Max are getting MARRIED!!!!!! Next year and I’m SO excited bc I know these two from high school and it is SO COOL to celebrate with them in this new season!!! 🥹

Engagement Photos at Valley Forge

We went to Valley Forge for their engagement session bc I mean just look at the leaves 🤩 AND they come here often to walk their dog Bo, who is a *very* good boy. So it’s a special place to them already!! It was so fun to include Bo in some of the photos, and I’m sure Bo loved getting all the snuggles 🥰

The weather could not have been more perfect – I feel like I’ve been saying that all season but it’s TRUE!!! High 70’s, golden sunshine kinda perfect. And that meant we got a gorgeous cotton candy sky at sunset, which I just had to take advantage of (see the last photo in this blog!) 🙌🏼

Laid Back Vibes for Authentic Connection

Max and Gina are SO happy and smiley around each other, they laugh so easily and you can tell how much love there is between them just by watching them interact. We literally had the best time just strolling around and finding pockets of sunshine to play photo games in & giving Bo his time in the spotlight!! Photographing them made me a gazillion times more excited for their wedding next year!!!

There was also a sweet moment when I had Max hug Gina over her shoulders from behind for a photo, and he told me that was a special photo pose because he has a photo of himself hugging Gina like that from MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! So you know I already have a reminder set to get that same photo on their wedding day 🫶🏼

Customizing the Photos to Their Relationship

We ended the session with Yankees hats … which I begrudgingly photographed 😒 jk jk they looked SUPER cute and now east coast has gotta represent in the World Series!! (But in all seriousness, GO PHILS!!)

I also loved including their dog Bo in the pictures!! He is a big part of their relationship and won’t get to be at their wedding. So it was really nice to get professional photos of him during their engagement photos!

“Hiring Gabriella as our photographer was the single best decision we made on wedding day.
