Vince took Nina by complete surprise with his Longwood Gardens proposal right before Christmas this past December!! Vince reached out to me a month before the proposal to help him plan. He even visited the gardens a few times to make sure he picked the perfect spot to pop the question!

Longwood Gardens Proposal

Longwood Gardens is one of the best places for a proposal!! First, it’s stunning. Second, if you’re hiring a photographer to capture the moment, it’s really easy for us to blend into the crowd and aid the surprise. Third, it’s a super romantic place to stroll around hand-in-hand and process the fact that you are now getting MARRIED!!!!

Vince and Nina’s proposal happened in the conservatory at Longwood Gardens, right in front of an indoor water display with a giant Christmas tree at the center. It was such a beautiful spot that there was actually a line to take a picture there the morning Vince proposed! The situation ended up being perfect for the proposal because Vince and Nina got their time in “the spot” by themselves for a picture. I whispered to the people around me that he was about to propose, so they cleared out even further as I knelt down to photograph the moment!

Christmasy Engagement Session

Y’all, Nina was in shock for the entire engagement session following the proposal. It was so sweet!!! We walked around the conservatory, taking super romantic photos to commemorate this magical moment. I was actually at Longwood Gardens a few days prior for another engagement session. That helped me be super efficient with the photos so I could give Vince and Nina time to process what just happened!! We ended the session outside at dusk, and those final pictures just scream romance. I’m literally obsessed!!!!

The variety in photos that you receive in your gallery is astounding. The beauty of the gardens is breathtaking. You can continue your romantic date in the gardens after the session has ended. And it’s a lovely place to visit every year around your anniversary as you reminisce on your love story!!!
